people coming out in their niners red and gold. some people running into the ferry building for last minute supplies for their super bowl parties. we have footage from the march raina district yesterday where people were buying up everything that they could with 49ers low goes on it. 49er characters at suzie's cakes were in excess of $100. one 49er fan from the central valley told me this morning he's already stocked up to watch the game as home with his family and he's keeping his eye on one player in particular. >> colin kaepernick. i'm from modesto and we just want to see a local hero finish the deal and get the sixth superbowl that the niners certainly deserve. >> any predictions? >> i think the 49ers will win. it will be a close game, probably under seven points but i'm going with the 49ers. >> aren't we all? the hope is that the 49ers will dominate the ravens. to prepare for the hopeful revelry, there will be twice as many san francisco officers out today compared with the typical sunday. muni is also taking precautions, choosing to run diesel buses that can be quickly rerouted

here. super bowl xlvii just 8 1/2 hours a way. and it will be a historymaker when the niners and baltimore ravens take the field at the superdome in new orleans in front of nearly 80,000 fans. there is no doubt that the niners are geared up and ready for a tough battle. we're joined now from the big ease with an exclusive look at the team's final preparations and whether or not anybody got any sleep last night. >> reporter: yeah, i can't speak for anyone else. i got about seven hours, i'm feeling well rested. you heard about the roar of the crowd in about 8 1/2 hours. right now we just have the roar of a leaf blower here on the banks of the mississippi. the 49ers have had a good week of practice, jim harbaugh getting through most of the workouts ahead of schedule. they've actually been shorter practices than allotted for. they went through their final workout yesterday in the superdome. only one reporter was there to see it. that's right, the only pool reporter allowed to get in was our very own mat maicco. matt, what did you see? >> reporter: on saturday, the 49ers had their fin

at a night club in brazil. >>> plus, the niners are now in new orleans. >> big foot is back. why sass scratch hunters >> ama: good evening. i'm ama daetz. at least 230 people died in a nightclub near brazil and at least 200 more were injured. for some it brings back memories to a similar tragedy here in the u.s. a decade ago. here's the latest. reporter: you're looking at the desperate effort to save lives as a saturday night party turned into a national tragedy at the club in southern brazil. young men swung axes axes and sledgehammers, trying to hack out escape outs with hundreds fighting for their lives. the club, was packed with college party-goers when members of the band on stage lit flares and set the ceiling on fire. flames and smoke outraced the terrified crowd which jammed the exits in a mad dash to escape. the club became a death trap. one survivor said it was complete panic. hundreds were killed. most reportedly from asphyxiation. firefighters and ambulance crews did what they could, treating some of the more than 200 injured at the scene. others were taken to the hospital

luck 49ers, looking for a great super bowl. nice job. >> a devoted niners fan is on her way to new orleans this morning. but the trip almost didn't happen because of a ticket scam. sharon osgood bought four super bowl tickets from a man on craigslist. she wired him the money, but when the envelope arrived there were no tickets inside, just a picture of the two starting quarterbacks and a note that said, enjoy the game, go ravens, lol. there's nothing funny about that. she said she trusted the man, she had a name and phone number and had spoken to him a couple of times before she sent the money. >> after four days of conversation, 4 1/2 days, we didn't think that this was a hoax. who would go through all that, you know? i mean, really, if you were trying to scam somebody, would you continue text messaging, e-mailing, phone calling? >> the ceo of ticketmaster heard about osgood's story and gave her four tickets to the big game. she's on her way. the 49ers chipped in another ticket, so her entire family could make the trip. investigators are now trying to track down the man behind the
